No brakes no fuel.
This seems to be happening more and more so here is the mod I do to all our cars.
Make sure the bolt is loose enough at the rear fixing to the chassis to allow cylinder to rotate. Also make sure the fork is in line with the brake pedal so there is no strain on the piston. It should return freely without this spring but I add as a back-up.
An additional mod is to close up the slot with a bolt so as to allow the brake pedal to pull the piston back by lifting the pedal up with the toe underneath it. OK you have to have quick reactions but it may be quicker than grabbing the handbrake. Fuel pump.
I always carry a spare tested fuel pump in the cars. Once again another member had to borrow one to continue their journey. Please pack one in your car. The spare fits nicely under the rear seat compartment in a Javelin or in the spare battery box of the Jupiter if you do not have two 6v.
