Side window weather stripping.

I am looking for a source for the side door window weather channels, (for the glass windows that crank up and down and I need the guide strips that go inside the metal channels), and the door weather strips that go between the door and body. I need them for my 1951 Jowett Jupiter. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I placed an order with Basis for the Javelin general purpose lifter channel and have used Kip Motor in the past but could not find what I was looking for this time.

Carl, When I built my Jupiter in the mid nineties I had dificulty obtaining a sealing and running strip that would go into the chrome channel and also allow the window to run up and down easily. I ended up cutting a strip of thin rubber from a sheet and sliding it into the chrome side frame. It works well and has only came out once in 14 years use. If you obtain the correct material then please let me know as I may change the rubber on the car at present. Drummond

the window channeling that is still intact 115 made from felt, approx 20mmx3mm which is then formed into the channel.

Thanks Brian I have 1/8 " felt in the garage. ideal.

Drummond is right the all in one strip which is plastic with flock is not the correct size but one eighth black felt glues in quite well and can be neatly cut after glueing .

Dear Carl and Drummond,

For the brass channel I used self adhesive Velcro (the furry component), had quite a fight but it works well. I worked out the width in the blank and cut the strip before peeling off the protective cover.

Cheap and works well.

There will be trouble if laminated glass is used. I had new windows cut and then hardened. Not laminated.

May I apologise to all Javelin owners because Drummond and I took a point off in the concours judging of the Javelins if they did not have the correct window rain seals.
I have now had to fit a Rubbertrim alternative to my Javelin rebuild as the originals are definitely not available new
I now admit that we were extremely harsh and I hold me head in shame
