Trailer length

Still feeling my way round the Jupiter. I understand they are 14' long. What length trailer do I need to move a Jupiter round comfortably.

Wheelbase is 7ft9in, track 4ft4in front, 5ft2in overall width, weight 16cwt dry.

Thanks for the dimensions and the link. Relevant trailers come from about 10' to 14', does it impact (awfull choice of words) on safety. Does overhang matter. What do other folks use?

You need a strong trailer as the Jup is heavy, preferably have a four wheeled one. Also one with good ramps so that the exhaust does not foul on loading, and a winch to safely pull on and offload slowly. Yes, overhang is quite a lot- see difference between length and wheel base, hence the need for long ramps or a low loader type trailer.

Not sure if 1.1 tonnes is more than 16cwt!!! It is a long time since I was in school and we did not do tonnes.

Its a while since I went but 1.1 tonnes is 1100KG and 1KG = 2.2lbs

Therefore payload is 2420 lbs. divide by 112 to get CWT 21.60 CWT and thats payload. not overall weight. My towcar is plated up to 1300KG. They don't say the weight of the rig but I would think that 200KG would be there or thereabouts.

But I'm still concerned that the Jupiter would overhang by 6 inches at both ends and what if any implications this might have

The overhang should not be a problem, it is 13ft long. What might be is the loading angle. Can you borrow a trailer, rather than buying one? There may be some JCC members in your area who could help.
