So is that sitting between you and the cranky wife?

Great to see some Aussie input on JowettTalk. We need more of it.

I am escaping from cranky wife.
The plan is to drive from Brisbane accross the country to the rally.
Brian will drive his beaut red Jupiter and I will tow my white Jupiter on it's trailer behind my VW caddy.
This means that we can carry some spares, fuel, personal gear etc and 4 people.3 seats are taken so we have room for one more lucky person.
Expences will be divided 4 ways and there will be plenty of time to share the driving, about 6 days on the road each way plus the rally.
This is a great opportunity to see Australia by Jupiter.

I think I will bring a packed lunch or two.
Or take some Walkabout courses on how to survive in the outback.

An update from Dougie's son:

"My old man has done the first leg of his trip from Brisbane QLD to Esperance WA in his 1951 Jowett Jupiter (total 3848 km). This is almost 3 times the distance from the bottom of mainland UK (the home of Jowett is Idle, Bradford, England) to the top. First day they have made it to Bourke NSW (942 km). Once in Esperance they will attend the National Jowett Rally."

So it sounds like things are going well so far :)
