Have just put the order in for my " extra thermals" so I'd better use them hadn't I

Chris can you check that when Sharron makes the costume for Jack that non of the leaves or dangly bits will obscure the view of the driver please :D

I think the phrase "Forced Rhubarb" couldn't be more appropriate :D

Just make sure she has got a lot of pink material.

Jack.

Would not make much difference to Jacks driving if we did move the leaves / dangly bits from his driving view anyway - he would only miss the pre war Jowett overtaking him - None the less I am sure the leaves and dangly bits can be shoved elsewhere within Jack's person dependant upon how much he annoys others at the time!

I think we can safely assume so, yes :)

Sadly it wasn't the pink suit that took part in our rather daft world record-breaking activities (which took place in January in water of 4 degrees...), but a fetching red one:

I did say this was for the young element to take up - I'm as old as Noel

If you had used a steal iron in the under water record the water would have been warmer!!

You and your stolen irons!! (steel/steal) If stolen they would be "hot" would they not?

No "dipping" out now Peter, I'm not far behind you as far as age is concerned and Clements senior is considering retiring for goodness sake!! You are as young as you feel. Come on stick (of rhubarb of course) in there and have some fun :) and do the marque a bit of good whilst doing so. :D

Amy - It goes without saying but add Sharon to the list of willing (ok unwilling then but she will get involved)

Oooo err, Sharron if you read this I had nothing to do with dropping you in it.

Nor do I know how to dig you out of the hole you have just rushed headlong into Chris :D

Alastair - No problem - I am full qualified in the management of digging holes and getting back out of them - it forms a large part of my employment - although I tend to get out of them before we fill the holes with water and add the fish / canoes / boats etc

I have not been able to reply to recent posts, as I had to finish proof-reading my latest book over the last couple of weeks, this was returned to the publishers today, so that is a load off my mind!

Coming back to publicity, I am delighted that Chris, Jack and Amy want to be involved in the rhubarb run (well done Peter for the idea) as it sounds like the event should be a lot of fun.

I would like to have some clarification on who is doing what. If you are wanting to take on the whole event, that would be fine by me, as clearly, Amy was starting to work out a list of drivers already. Most of the posts of late have been on what type of rhubarb outfit folks want to wear etc, so I am not sure on who is doing what!

Also, are we investigating any other ideas of Peter’s such as the “train pull”, and better still, do we have any other ideas other than Peter’s, as one event is soon over. Ideally, what we need are a whole selection of new ideas with “new people” having a go at arranging them. I have no problem at all with other people doing things, as long as the Club Committee is kept informed, as they do not like nasty surprises particularly if unexpected losses are encountered!
