Reinforcement and Section involvement.

Post by Tony Fearn »

Once again Jowetteers across the U.K. have become involved in helping to sort-out a members's problem.

Bob. M. has helped B. G. rebuild his Javelin engine, (pic in a recent Jowetteer) but there was a bit of a problem starting it when it was in the car. T.F. (pre-war only) went to help but it needed a bit more in-depth sorting.

M.K. offered to help if needed when we were at Falcon Manor at the end of the Northern Section's 'Dales run' recently.

A famous Scottish member rang T.F. about a completely different pre-war related subject, but the talk came round to B.G.'s difficulty with his Javelin.

The day after, and because of a telephone call (for this read 'grapevine'), one of the other (and there are many of them) Scottish members rang B.G. in case he could help. D.B. gave B.G. good advice.

Subsequent to that, the engine is out of B.G.'s Javelin again and it's on the bench, - it seems that the problem has been identified.

So Bob M. has the conrod and piston from no. 4 cylinder, and he's sorting it out for B.G.. T.F. will be available to take it back to Chorley and with a bit of luck FRG 494 will be at the Rally in May.

If not, then B.G. will grace the passenger seat of S.J. and will be there anyway.

So we'll see you all at Wakefield. Can't wait!!

Tony.

Oooo err

Just goes to show the club is a brilliant resource and it is people doing their bit all over the place that makes the club the fantastic family that it is!
Compliments of the Season,
