The first picture shows the stop lamp switch closed with indicators off putting both stop lamps on via the red circuit.
The second shows the left indicator switch, which is on, feeding the trafficator through the ( off ) hazard relay (green circuit) whilst the flasher unit is activated via the left relay grounding through the left indicator lamps (blue circuit). Note that if the stop light switch is activated the right rear lamp comes on, whilst the left remains flashing.
The hazard relay disconnects the trafficators so they do not burn out and feeds both indicator relays to flash all four lights.
