Spare Oil recommendations for Jemmima

Post by PaulB »

Hi Guy's,

I need to take with me to Lincoln next week, a spare can of engine oil for my 8HP. Can anybody on here tell me what they use please, for topping up?

Paul, it depends a bit on what is in there right now. If you are using a more modern multigrade e.g 20w50 then you should use that as the detergent additives may not mix well with older type oils.
I prefer straight mineral oils and personally tend to use Miller's 30 or 40 depending on how hot the weather is.
You may find Morris' from Shrewsbury easier to find in your area. I would suggest straight 30.
