Jowett.org down

Post by Forumadmin »

The hosting company has lost, hopefully temporarily, all the files on Jowett.org and hence you get no response.

However, just go to http://keithclements.co.uk and you will have all that you want there.

I hope we will get a good explanation and refund for this poor service!

Seems to be up again now and a bit faster.
Note that JowettTalk and JowettGallery are still on my home server. I will leave there for at least a week to contemplate what to do.

Hosting company has confirmed jowett.org is out of quarantine again and back to full speed. Talk and Gallery are still on my home server so may be a bit slow when I am working on the cable link.

It is still up; but noticed upload pics was not working on JowettTalk when I tried uploading Eric Hihnala's photos. Now fixed. Come on guys you were a bit slow telling me!

I also extended the window so that you can now see the instructions in the pop up box.

Well for overall performance, it has been better than every before on your home server.

Still recon, as a long term plan, put everything into a phpnuke portal.

Im running 3 web sites, including jowettnz.net and kakariki.net, plus another private gallery site, plus hot linked pics to camaro sites, here and several other web sites, all on a 800k upload...with 3000 to 5000 hits per day. Enough that my upload and down load (8.5meg) are almost equal.
I also do a lot of remote/vpn server and network administartion everyday.

8.5meg+ and 800k are real speeds, not theretical in the router or advertised by the isp

Keith,

Perhaps because you spend so much of your free time time servicing the website, members don't want to seem to be complaining every time there's a hiccup.

I just wait 'til it starts working again.

Regards,

Tony.
