To All and Sundry,
I had my first drive the other day, after operations to one eye (so far).
Guess which car I took for a burst?
You got in one!
There is not a better post-op morale booster than a drive in a Jupiter!
Another plus for our favourite!

Cheshire Cat
I know exactly what you mean! I am pleased to say I have had no operations recently nor am I likely to (as far as I can tell). But I drive around 45-50k miles per year up and down the UK. Come weekend I can't wait to get the Jupiter out and "play". My neighbours are convinced I'm a madman as I can't stop grinning like a Cheshire cat (worrying, I live in Derbyshire) every time I get behind the wheel. I have been known when the company car collapses with exhaustion to be delighted because that means .....
Glad to hear you are improving and SA 42 blew any cobwebs away.

Dear Keith,
The operation has gone exceedingly well. I am now on crossed fingers that there is no rejection of the donor eye bits.
My advice is to stick a piece of black sticky tape on the temperature fauge glass!
I did that years ago to a Holden that had the park brake applied lamp glowing, no matter what I did at the wiring. Turned out that the lamp had two tasks -- the other was to advise of low brake fluid. As always, the liamp was only doing its job!
I could find no reference to this second task in the book, but it was in the service manual.
All the best,
Mike A.
