The late Clement Freud

Post by PAUL BEAUMONT »

As no one else has done so I would like to pay tribute, in this forum, to the recently passed Clement Freud - one time (albeit brief) Bradford Owner.

Paul: -

I'm glad you mentioned this. I remember an article years ago in the DAILY TELEGRAPH I think, about a Bradford that he abandoned in a motorway service area after what I recall may have been a big end failure.

He mentioned in the article about the oil pressure being 'normal' at about 16 ounces, and I have since taken this as a datum (not really!).

Might it be possible to obtain permission to reprint the article in Jowetteer?

Old Jowett owners never die, they just go out of print.
The devil is in the detail!

This was the article that I was alluding to. Dave Fox used to have a copy and did publish it once long ago. I might still have a copy somewhere.
