The other day I reason to visit my Uncle and he gave me a tool bag that he advised was part of a particular Jowett my grandfather had. Now he said 1937, but the car he refered to is infact 1935. However, my grandfather did have a vintage model of about 1927/28 ish.
The question is 'did jowetts provide a tool bag with any of their cars or is this bag from another make about the same time'
My personal view is that I think the bag is more likley to come from the 1927 car as there is no tool box as such on those early models, just a few places to stow a tool bag such as behind the back seat or alternativelly under the front seat.
Now in the mid thirties the cars were provided with two felt lined tool boxes as part of the bulkhead, so why have tools in a bag?
Within the tool bag there are a number of tools, mainly spanners some are 'Jenbro' and the others are 'snail brand' Now did Jowett provide tools and what make?
There was also a screwdriver which my uncle is quite sure came with the tool bag.
I have tried to insert some photos of the said bag, but to no availe. I have subsequently Emailed them to our Webmaster to add independently.

Thanks Ken I will have a chat with John Follows at Bideford if he is there. I looked for 'geek' in my Oxford dictionary, but could not find it. I don't have a copy of the current Truro Cornish Dictionary I trust they will be available at Bideford!!
Anyway below are the photos I could not attach before. I think the problem was that they were to big. There a lot smaller now.
