Niels Jonassen report

Post by Forumadmin »

It was a wonderful experience in May in Crieff to meet so many people we had not seen for many years. In an april 1952 edition of a magazine for Danish civil servants I have found an article about the Danish post office Bradfords with appraisals by some of the drivers. I have translated it into English.

Statsfunktionæren (The Civil Servant)

What we think of the Bradford

A good tool is half the work. This is also true when talking about the car used for ones daily work.
About one year ago the Royal Mail bought a few Bradford vans. To day the Royal Mail has 25 Bradford vans – not so strange, because there is no doubt that it is an economical vehicle.
But, let us hear what a couple of drivers say:
Senior postman Kjeld Petersen, Købmagergade post office, has been driving a Bradford for the past year.
“Kjeld, What is your opinion of the Bradford ?â€
