I participated in a good one day event last September in France at Heudeville-sur-Eure not far from Dieppe. There is a direct ferry crossing from Newhaven or come via Eurotunnel & Calais which is a three hour drive to Dieppe in the Jupiter (see http://www.eurotunnel.com/ & http://www.newhaven-dieppe.co.uk/ ).
I left from Dieppe in the early morning & got back for an evening meal in Dieppe. I was (?) the only car that had come from Britain amongst nearly all French. One car (? a Fiat made ? under licence in the ? former Yugoslavia) had been driven from (?) Slovenia, (?) all others (?) were from elsewhere in France or otherwise not so far (as well as agricultural vehicles). There were a few jumble stalls. The event takes place this year again ("3ème Exposition de Véhicules d'époque" : see http://www.laplanche.info/10.html ) at "Heudreville-sur-Eure" which is not far south of Rouen.
