Hi All,
The attached photo shows a car currently on sale. It is described as a Jowett Javelin,1951, which clearly isn't correct. However, what is it? Dating myself from well before that period, I have a passing knowledge of most of the saloon cars of that period, and by the dress code of the viewers around the car, the early 1950's look about right. As a Christmas Puzzle, can anyone suggest what the make and car might be? I am tempted to think it might even be a prototype CD saloon? Any ideas?
What's this car?

Re: What's this car?
Hi Paul, thanks for the suggestion. It could be? Although the front grill looks different from the one's I remember and the windscreen hasn't got a trim strip? Perhaps there were different versions of the Minx?
Anyway, many thanks for the thought and best wishes to you , your family and Yellow Peril!

Hi All, Thanks to Paul and Keith, for their research which shows the car to be a Hillman Minx!

Certainly a fifties Minx but wait, it looks like a Jav or Jup radiator and where's the engine and water pump ? A flat four ? A special built for racing ?
