Canney’s

Post by James Baxter »

There were two garages. One in Hudds and one in Meltha, called Canney’s.
Was this the WS Canney who drove his Sport in so many competitions , the Works driver?

I don't have copies, but there are pre- and post-war leaflets which list Jowett main agents. That would at least allow you to establish whether the garages were linked to Jowetts. My money would be on it being the same guy.

The garage I would like to know more about is WM Park of Kew, London who commissioned hardtops for the Jupiter.

Hopefully those agent lists are in the Archive somewhere.

I did. The alphabetical dealer list jumps between Chippenham and London (cont) with nothing in between.
