The hood was up because we had a few thunderstorms on Wednesday. I had to stop just before Rennes as the road was a river and I did not trust French or English drivers in that rain.

Quali completed but the water pump failed again so the drivers changed twice whilst we refilled with water.
Back in the paddock the pump was changed for one off the spare engine. Then whilst checking for a misfire at high revs we found the timing to be bouncing all over the place. So the distributor has been changed.

The Crossley Jupiter is featured at 1hr 57min in the video and 2hr 50 min and 3hr 4m where the comment is the two Coopers were out and out race cars compared to the JJ which was a touring sports car.
Mention of the fantastic Jowett Jupiter winning its class 2hr 7 min in.

Does anyone know the make of crankshaft damper used on the Crossley engine? I've been looking at various options and there don't seem to be many that are an easy fit. Thanks in advance. John
