I came back to my car a while back and the battery was dead, so I charged it back up and put a mA voltmeter in between the negative terminal (the car is positive ground/earth) and the battery, and it's showing almost an amp of draw with the key off. Removing the two fuses does not change the draw.
Whereabouts would you all start looking to narrow down the source of the draw? In computer work I would often cut the data in half, allowing me to quickly eliminate potential causes, but I don't know how to rapidly eliminate large portions of the harness, so here I am asking for advice!

Re: Battery Draw
Hi Tony,
I dont think the two fuses affect the regulator, I think they are for auxilaries. Although Jowett's fitted the bigger RF95 ( and cripplingly expensive! ) regulator, I believe the additional fuses are not part of the regulator function. I have seen some Javelins with the smaller ( and cheaper ) regulator that other cars use. I suspect the regulator relay connection to the field winding is stuck on? I would open up the regulator cover and inspect the two relay buttons and look either for corrosion between the contact buttons or whether one of the buttons is making contact with it's 'other half, when it should be open ? Without the power on, they should both be open and clean.
Hope this helps?
