Great to see the addition of Sections on Jowett Talk, So could we all make good use of it - i.e. could the section diary be posted etc - or if you are a Southern Section member could you possibly acknowledge that you are out there ??

I am here!!
I think this is a great addition to the forum. Now, how the h--- do I get into the Gallery!?
Looking at the membership list I think there are about a dozen members in the East Susssex / West Kent areas.
Could we organise a noggin and natter somewhere like Tunbridge Wells or Crawley, i.e. central to many.
I regret I only have a very crowded 4 bed, limited parking house, in a cul-de-sac, which already has large quantities of car parts in the garden, lounge, dining room and bedrooms, (not to mention the garage, which is currently 'chokka' with my son's engines, engine crane, engine stand, as well as my Jowett - somewhere, a grit blast cabinet, compressor, arc welder, MIG welder, bandsaw, lathe, and about 1/2 ton of tools), so it would not be practical to have a get-together at my home, but there must be local venues that are free - like pubs, where 6 or 8 of us could gather wool and share problems.
Any alternative suggestions would be very welcome.
I think the Section Fora (Forums?) could be very useful for items of local interest.
Let's see what happens.

Hailsham Eh?!
I live in Eastbourne so it should be possible to meet up sometime - I am at present in Wales but I should be back in time for the Priory Lane rally on 10th June.
This is on the field of the Eastbourne football club, just down the road from the Eastbourne Crematorium (no connection - but useful road signs!).
Try to make contact there - I will have my 1930 Long Four Fabric Saloon on show. Are you minded to join one of the local old vehicle clubs? There is also a strong source of Javelin / Jupiter spares not far away from us.
There are at least two clubs in our area - as well as the JCC of course - and I know you would be very welcome at ether / both.
When you joined you should have received a Membership list which will give you my details. If not try a Private Message from here or just reply here. There are several JCC members in East Sussex and we need to keep in touch on a more regular basis.
Welcome aboard!

Dear Southern Jowetteers
Well I have finally found my way here! Owner of Jowett 7HP Chummy (Eddie) which Matthew (my son) trials on VSCC events.
Heading to the Bluebell Railway to meet up with Ian Howell and David Mitchell on Sunday 12th August 2018 - the possibility of 3 x 1930 Jowetts lining up in Sussex is quite appealing. We will be at Horsted Keynes station if anyone if passing through.
Any advice on brake drum relining will be greatly received - even if it is "don't".
Regards and happy Jowetteering

Re: Southern Section Forum
Bruce,
You probably need to be specific and ask for a response, but even that will not tell you how many people have read and understood!
The main point of posting here is for non-members who may be looking for an event to go and see a Jowett or speak to some members. These people may just be guests as they have not registered on the forum so will not be able to post.
Also members not in the Section might also look here and will not have received emails about events.
