Re: Spoke Wheels. Jupiter/Javelin.
I have looked at this & the big problem is the Jowett stud pattern . None of the makers eg Kelsey Hayes make a wheel for Jowett pattern.
Even adaptors for knock on hubs are not available.
I feel the only way is 1st change the Jowett hubs.
I often thought that buying a rusted out Jaguar with wire wheels & 3ha axle would probably be the easiest way to go wire.
Unfortunately not that common in Australia.

I have done a bit more research and found that Ford consul/ Zephyr mark one brake hubs & drums are pretty well bolt on to Jowett stubs.
This means wire wheels or alloy wheels can be easily found.
Indeed Ford Falcon 16 inch space savers would give a 4 inch wide rim.
The Zephyr hubs need the Jowett hub spacer narrowed to make the drum face the same as a jowett.
Also a washer added or more thread cut to allow the taper bearings to adjust properly.
A small key way also needs to be cut on the jowett stub to allow the Ford thrust washer to fit.

Problem with disc brakes is that the whole Jowett brake system needs to be re engineered.
Whereas the Ford conversion really only changes the stud pattern.
The object being to allow greater wheel options.
