Wanted - Jowett Radiator Script

Post by Jeremy »

I am looking for a Jowett script for the radiator on my car. (the Bradford short 2 special pictured in the Jowetteer a few times)

Failing finding an original one I could make one from brass/nickel silver plate but would need to know the size so I on't make it smaller or larger by accident!

Many thanks
Jeremy

I'm also after a radiator cap for the same car. I'm happy to repair one, what ever you have to be honest!

Cheers

Hi David,

Very nice. The Mini in the picture is a 1967 Morris Mini Cooper - belongs to my friend who's "shed" the Jowett is in. Unfortunately the Cooper does not get out much, since its run to Imola in 2000 I think it has only done 500 miles!!

Regards the badge you are after, my son 3d printed one from a rough drawing, though not good enough for a pattern , someone with a clear picture of what you need can easily 3d print a reverse mould which would make having one made fairly simple.
I don't know if you have mens sheds in the UK but my local one had the capacity to pour brass & aluminium.
Their charge was cost of materials & a donation to the shed, yours shed might do the same.
Good memories of Bradfords.
