Markings on pre-war sump

Jowett ED 6036 June-1930. Originally a long 2 tourer, converted later to fabric bodied light four.
Jowett PO5051 1929. Originally light 2. Converted to Sports style In 90’s.
Member of VSCC and LCEOS for marshalling and tours. My son (Matt) is now interested in autosolos and trials - ideal Jowett territory. He now owns VO4165, 1930 Long 2 as an oily rag road car. - Given Name: Bruce

Markings on pre-war sump
Does anyone know what these markings signify on a 1930 twin sump?

Hello Bruce.
What an interesting question.
I've been across to the garage to have a look at a selection of the more easily-accessed pre-war engine casings I have.
I list them below with the engine numbers and the stampings.
There doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason at this stage.
232102---W32
333312---KK38
334387---W10
334742---A23
335389---S24
333612---W10 (again)
847927---115
Maybe there's someone using JowettTalk that knows.
If not, why don't you pose the question in a future Jowetteer magazine.
This will reach the wider membership.
