Wiring harness Jupiter 1952

Post by jeanstrifezzi »

Hello from Brazil !!!!
We are restoration a 1952 Jupiter left-hand drive (LHD). I can't find any photos of the fire wall and the position of the front electrical harness. I also need to know the position of the electrical equipment: Controlbox (regulator), starter solenoid, horn relay, wiper motor, fusebox and the path of the harness. We bought a new harness but the position of the wires does not match the holes of these parts in the vehicle.
I need pictures of an installed harness as well as the correct position of this electrical equipment.

English old cars are very popular here in Brazil! But most photos on Google are RHD cars.
All british cars imported to Brazil have left-hand drive (LHD)

Hi Jean,
LHD coverage is poor but I am sure Scott Renner in LA will come up with some pictures for you.

Your interest in the forum: I am the grandson of the owner of a '51 Jowett Jupiter. I am also in charge of the restoration of the car. Recently I started the restoration in the R&R Restoration Workshop (http://www.rerestauracoes.com.br) in São Paulo in Brazil, specialized in British Cars. I will need assistance and access to spare parts to perform an accurate and trustworthy restoration job.

I'm pretty sure I know Jean. He's the owner of a beautiful green Jupiter in São Bernardo do Campo, city close to São Paulo. His Jupiter didn't have the original engine, but he told me couple of years ago that he had found one and would replace it.

As for his doubts it seems to be a great coincidence as we have the some doubts. We are not very sure where exactly the fuse box goes. I will get in touch with Scott Renner.
