VSCC light car race
Has anyone seen the article posted by 'Prewar Car' about the vscc introducing a new light car racing class? There is what looks like a period photo of the starter grid and second row back you can clearly see a short 2 Jowett of 23/24 vintage. The interesting thing is that I don't recognise it as one of the better known racers ie Worsley, Canney or Hepworth as theirs were all modified and this one looks pretty standard! Wish I could upload the photo but my computer won't allow!

Re: VSCC light car race
Not likely to be one of the competitors suggested as this is an image from a VSCC race meeting of the 50's or 60's.
Are any Jowetts entered for the forthcoming Light Car Race at Oulton Park?

Ah, my first thought was that it was from that period but then saw the period photo so thought it was also from the 20s! Unless the Jowett was modified mechanically it must have been quite a slow race! None of those cars surely would have had a top speed of more than 50mph in standard form?!!
