Dizzy
The car is now starting and running. On checking with a strobe light on no1 cylinder it appears to be misfiring a few times.
Am now sending the dizzy to the dizzy Doctor for overhaul and re mapping to the Clements curve.
Have lots of work to do while the dizzy is away.
Barry.

Re: Dizzy
Is the Clements curve the best solution for modern motoring. The dizzy doctor has done the curve on lots of dizzys and knows it well.

Re: Dizzy
Take off the drive shaft by removing the circlip before sending.
If you are having a new cap then suggest you get the plug in type rather than side entry unless you want originality.
You may also have to file a bit off the new dog socket for the drive shaft. It shoul be a loose fit.

Re: Dizzy
I found when i was taking of the circlip it had a gap in it the ends did not come together. One of the holding tabs was in that gap so didn't have the circlip in it so the circlip was only holding one tab. Due to the gap in the circlip it can spin and miss the tab the gap seems about 6mm is all this ok do i need a new circlip and where do i get one.
Thanks Barry.
Thanks Barry.

Re: Dizzy
All OK. The main thing is to make sure the shaft is not tight in the bottom of the dizzy rotor base.
