Short 2

Post by Jeremy »

Does anyone have any plans or drawing for the short 2 body ash frame? Even pictures of the frame would be a help.

Many thanks in advance

Hi David

I did get sorted thanks, I have since built the ash frame and very pleased with the result. I am now panelling it before I start to assemble the project. Loads of work but all great fun. I'll drop you a text so you have my contact number

Keith - Posting drawings / measurements for this body will not help anyone - its a bespoke body in a short 2 style - scaled to fit a Bradford chassis - hence a completely unique car

You beat me to it Chris,

It body pictures were to help me create a Short 2 style body for my Bradford restoration as there was no bodywork with the kit of parts. The picture of the finished ash frame was in the Jowetteer a month or so back.

I got a few photos from Michael K-O and from Vic Morrison, and Vic was kind enough to measure a few bits of his Short 2 so I could scale off the photos. The dimensions were for the passenger door and the dicky seat lid. My dick seat is the same size as a genuine Short 2 but the drivers and passenger doors are slightly different.

Below are the photos

And my finished frame

I have just about completed panelling the frame now as the body tub nears completion.
