Hello all.
I would just like to thank Sue for the inordinate amount of work that went into this most enjoyable two and a half hours of Jowett fun.
Almost 50 Jowetteers were included in this get together, and best of all, we could see their faces and listen to them. It was great to see friends from all over the U.K., but also those from the wider world, some of whom were previously only known by name, especially if they had corresponded in this Forum, or contributed to the magazine.
As Sue said in a private email, there were Jowetteers who had to get up and join before breakfast (the day after).
Brilliant Sue.

Well said, Tony! I fully agree. Thanks, Sue (despite technical problems at our end!)

Yes it was very well run coping with a bunch of Zoom novices.
So should we do this more often?
This was an international meeting with 4 continents and 10 countries represented, so should we try to get more members from more countries involved?
There is the issue of speaking more clearly and more slowly to be considered. So more control by the host should be exercised with people going on mute unless they are given the chance to speak by the host when they raise their hand.
The medium can be used for more local meetings as well for sections and special interest groups.
I have often thought of holding a technical day where people can interact when diagnosing problems. In the late 1970s my company made a video phone that was used by doctors in Canada to do operations remotely on people in snowbound Eskimo communities. So how about trying it if you have a Jowett problem?
I think some others are planned but why not organise one yourself and let us know.
Seeing friends I should have met this year in Australia, New Zealand, Denmark and the UK was rewarding and memorable. I just hope I see them in the flesh soon!
