Yes they do seem to be Jowett from the early 30s.
Maybe better to put them on eBay starting at 99p to see what they bring.

thankyou for the advice , I have someone viewing who needs a axle and cannot find one , he is a club member , if anyone else has a axle for sale let me know and if he does not take this one (it is expensive) he maybe interested .

The club member should know that Jowett Car Spares has recently acquired a cache of pre-war parts.
Perhaps they have a similar used rear axle in stock.
Perhaps the person 'viewing' should contact them in the first instance.
That having been said, we pre-war Jowett folk are always interested in learning about the spares out there, so thanks for your original post.

Checked with JCS (Jowett Car Spares) today - they have several of this axle type in stock - complete too - for a mere fraction of the cost of the one advertised here
