Your interest in the forum: I run a small garage in bradford. My granddad worked for jowett as a welder and im now interested in owning one to restore or recommission and help keep the jowett name running. Any model considered though i would be very happy to put my garage name on a bradford van.

car or van wanted to restore

Post by KTmotors »

Hello. I'm looking for a car or van to restore. I live and work in Bradford and my grandad worked at Jowett as a welder. If anyone has too many projects or knows of anything in need of a new home please get in touch as I want to get involved with keeping these classic vehicles where they belong. Cheers Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Are you up for basket cases? I am currently working on a Bradford (not for sale). But I do know the whereabouts of a very late (in both senses of the term) CC Van. I can post pictures. It needs to be in protective custody. I also know of the whereabouts of a Javelin, condition unknown but looks to be complete. Let me know if you are interested.

:D

Hello Alastair. Thanks for the post. I'm willing to have a look both. I'm pretty sure if i rebuild a van it wont be leaving the family. Pictures would be a great help. Thanks Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Sadly the Javelin has been whisked away.

Brace yourself the Bradford is based just outside Nottingham and is unlikely to be whisked away. Chassis looks fairly solid. It is a CC (The Powerful engine) It was a van and is one of the last Bradfords to have been made (In the last 500 or so)

Let Me know if you are up for it and we can take it a step further.

Kind Regards

Alastair
