10/4 head gasket weep

After reringing the engine I now have it running nicely now, but I have a problem with the new old stock head gaskets weeping overnight as the engine cools ,absolutely fine when the engine is running .It doesn't drip you get a wet film and globules of coolant on the gasket ,
The heads were skimmed and the barrels were flat checked all fine ,I also applied a fine film of sealant around the waterways and the heads have been retorqued twice .
I have spoken to a couple of people with the twin cyl engine and they appear to have the same problems
Any imput would be appreciated thanks

I have been told that K-seal works wonders.
Perhaps you might search the internet and make a decision.

Hi Tony and Nigel,

We have used K-Seal on Vic's Javelin, with success so far. One point though, there are two versions of K-Seal. The cheaper version ( around £10 ) is only claimed to be for a temporary repair. The type we used was also called K-Seal but claims to provid a permanent seal and is unfortunately more expensive ( around £30 ) . That is the type we used and it seems to be doing the job so far.

Hi all after finding a bottle of k- seal in the back of the garage I forgot I had ,I added this it has taken a few warm up to temperature then cool cycles ,I think due to the non -pressurised system but it now appears that the weep has stopped,many thanks for your thoughts on this matter

Roy Braddock, former Jowett agent now deceased, always recommended Barr’s leak as it also lubricates the water pump as well as curing leaks.
