Jupiter door lock

Post by Srenner »

Not that I have seen a Sunbeam Talbot 80 or 90 in person at any point, but pretty certain this is the same lock as the Jupiter. Pictures 1 and 4.

Scott - The dovetail (55618) most certainly is has is the external (chrome) door handle (55454) for the same car which JCS can now source - has to if the internal part of the lock mechanism is the identical to the Jupiter I'm not sure - Having now checked its not the same internal lock mechanism has the Sunbeam version carries a lever handle stub - JCS also stock the lock striker / catch plate for the B post (55525) - On checking the images again though they also utilised the same lock barrel & escutcheon (55451AS)

Chris,
Yes, you are correct and I should have been more specific about the separate lock and barrel, which was the area of my attention. For some reason those are often missing on project cars in the US. Fairly rare in the UK?
