I don't think that any of the bodyshell requires modification for the mechanical modifications that were made to the suspension or the braking systems - the only thing required for the rear shock absorbers were 4 holes drilled to accept the bolts for the additional brackets - I would assume that all of this was undertaken in the Jowett works rather than at Briggs - the steel dash pressing on the bodyshells were all identical but there was a central section roughly cut out of the pressing to accept the veneered centre switch panel of the delux model - has all models came from Briggs with the dashboard in place & wired this alteration to the pressing would have certainly been undertaken on the Briggs production line

One last question, does anyone know of anywhere else the Jowett number is stamped other than on the cross member by the bonnet catch?

Chassis number is just on the front crossmember adjacent to the inner wing along with the brass plate on the bulkhead - only other reference is the body number (not to be confused with the chassis number) which is stamped to every loose (bolted on) body panel
