Javelin for sale

1953 Javelin deluxe .lam selling this car for my dad ,the car is in presentable and useable condition but does need some attention.It has an issue with 1st gear but that has never stopped us using the car .last year we did a 800 mile round trip to Goodwood Revival as part of the Jowett Taxi Fleet .The car is Black with a red interior and the seats have been reupholstered.My dad has owned it for about 12 years but now he has at 86 decided it is time to sell
We are looking for £3800 or offers .I am happy to answer any questions about this car

Bit of an update . I have now got the car up with me in Teignmouth the car hasn't been driven since Sept 2018 so was running very poorly .i have drained the fuel and topped up with fresh ,replaced fuel pump diaphragm and cleaned the carbs .The gear linkage has been adjusted which seems to have cured the gearbox problem but I haven't driven it on the road yet .The car still could still do with some attention on it .

Nigel - I cannot understand why its not sold already - this is a cheap entry level Javelin - I know it needs some work but its still cheap - Javelin prices are now starting to creep upwards with presentable on the road cars commanding £8 - £10k and very good ones heading for the £13 - £15k region - If I did not have so much work on my books I'd be down to collect for it for myself

Chris - I advertised this car outside the club and had dealers offering rock bottom to make a quick profit or other people then would cost in a full professional restoration instead of accepting the car as a low entry Javelin
