Tool Tray for Deluxe Javelin

Post by Alan Stanley »

We have a member considering making a run of the tool trays for the boot of the deluxe Javelin, but do not want to start this if there is a current supplier. Is anyone making these?

Alan,

Perhaps it would be of use to get in touch with Jowett Car Spares over here in the U.K., as I don't believe anyone involved directly with the Spares Company has posted on JowettTalk in an official capacity, even though one or two of them visit this site occasionally.

A note in our 'Jowetteer' mag. will of course reach many more potentially-interested parties.

Best wishes,

Tony.

Dear Alan,

We had a few cast here in Melbourne a few years ago. The gentleman who organized them was Ray Hoey.

I can ask if he can organize some more.

Dear Alan,

Sadly, the gentleman who had a few made is xery ill in hospital. We also found that the pattern that he used transferred a broken spanner lug to those he cast from it.

I will investigate getting some cast, using mine as a pattern. It could take a while, but cost should be reasonable.

Regards,

Mike Allfrey.

Thanks for this info. The reason I originally asked is that we have amember making a mould etc, and we didn't want to duplicate if one already existed. So don't worry, it is being looked into here. When available we will let evryone know?
