Javelin Door Hinges

Post by Leo Bolter »

Hi all.

I am presently involved in the project of having further supplies of Javelin door hinges made (Investment cast in bronze) for the JCC of NZ Spares and this afternoon was assembling into a set, some originals I have here which had been rattling around loose in their storage box.

Now this may be common knowledge, but I discovered whilst doing this, that the nuts and lock washers (which in my experience ceased to work years ago . . . and will slowly un-do in use!) could be replaced by 6mm metric Nylock nuts . . . . a much superior arrangement . . . and they look good too!

Just further grist to the mill . . . .
