Windows
Right then, my dilema, does anyone know how to get the winding windows out of the rear passenger doors. Both the driver side and the rear passenger doors were both cracked, yesterday managed to get the drivers side out, but the passenger door appears to be no room to manover the window out as its shaped to fit the wheel arch, Any ideas?

Alan, if your rear doors are similar to those in my Kingfisher you will need to remove the glass complete with the wooden rail which holds the window mechanism - this should be held in place with a couple of screws at either end. Also check that the window channelling is free below the window space in the door or it won't allow the glass to come out.

Hi ken,
Problem solved, instead of me undoing every screw which held the mechanism, lock for the door, the guide rails, it was all a bit of wasted effort, when I found that the top wooden rail could simply be unscrewd and removed and the window just slid up out of its rails.
Look forward to seeing you on saturday
Alan

Hello, I finally got around to buying new glass for the drivers side doors, now on the rear door the top of the frame comes out so you can slide the glass back in, now as for the drivers door is this the same story? I'm a little confused as to whether the same happens on the drivers door, the top comes off? Also I would like to know if the guide rails which the glass slides into at the bottom are they available from jowett spares the currents ones are in quite a poor condition.
