Fuel pump

Post by jondowning »

Just got e3sa934 back on the road after lengthy absence due to engine rebuild, but new-ish fuel pump giving problems again - kept needing whacking to free the points - so bit the bullet and had the old (original) pump rebuilt and converted to electronic (by Burlen).

Wished I'd got it done sooner, it's much more reliable. Now what shall I do with my 'universal adjusting tool' (lump of wood kept close at hand to apply aforementioned whacking)?

They are a lot like my mechanical fuel pump, and give very little trouble. 8)

:D it was more of a rhetorical question, I always carry the 'universal adjusting tool', it works on items other than dodgy fuel pumps
