Yes I spotted those Paul, are they for real?
I noticed that the Pacific Island they come from appears to have a complete range of car stamps available, even a 1932 Hillman Minx, for some strange reason.
No disrespect to the Hillman of course, I like a nice Hillman, along with the next man, but it's not noted for being a particularly special car!

Hi all.
I've strayed a bit "off subject" once again, but this is partially on the subject of stamps . . . . I remember having my Jupiter involved in a photoshoot for NZPost postage stamps in Wellington, after a National Rally in the capital many years ago . . . nothing came of it.
But, it's amazing how long things take to surface sometimes . . . another photoshoot (for a Japanese car magazine, this time!) at a Ohakea Wings and Wheels had the car appear on a national calendar about 20 years later!

The caption under the picture reads:
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
1951 Jowett Javelin Jupiter
Sporting version of the Javelin which was fine unless the cable operated throttle stuck open. Raced at Le Mans and elsewhere, and had a purposeful air in it's time. This marque disappeared when Ford bought the body builders.

'bye for now . . . Leo

Jupiter postage stamps
I have the pair of Jupiter postage stamps, produced by or for he Pacific Ocean island of Tuvalu. They are of face value 60 cents. The stamps range from 15 cents - a 1953 Cooper 500, to a dollar 50 - a 1903 Packard Model F.
