Hi there,

On behalf of club members (but not in Jowettalk), John and Belinda Prescott, I am advertising their 1952 Javelin. This car is a de luxe and is in black. It had an engine rebuild in 1999 and has a new MOT, which now expires in June 2008.

I drove the car home to John’s from the garage after the MOT last week and she went very well. The engine appears to have no oil leaks on top (Javelin and Jupiter owners will know what I mean by this!) and had good oil pressure and the right water temperature after the 6 miles or so in heavy traffic in hot weather. The gearbox is, I believe, a Meadows box.

Overall, the car is in roadworthy condition but needs some TLC on the bodywork. John is asking £2000 ono and I would say this probably seems fair for the current condition of the car. John and Belinda can be contacted on 0117-9312159, or you can reach me via Jowettalk, if you prefer.
