The glass and refector of the Jupiter headlamp is held by the two rings. You take off to get resilvered. You can then remove the glass.
New 770 headlamps are available and almost the same price as resilvering/chroming. I source from the USA via Scott.

You may get problems when they go away for rechroming as they become very brittle . Reassembly can break the glass easily.
