After attending a rally on Sunday,I have found out that I should have a rear window blind .i have done a bit of investigation on the car and found the remains of the roller and the slot in the rear shelf has been filled in .
Has anyone got any ideas where I can find all the parts to reinstate a working blind to the car ,many thanks in anticipation

When I retrieved my 1930 Long Four saloon from its resting place, it had the remains of the rear window blind in place (sort of).
The roller had a rusty spring inside it that I was able to repair by trimming off a few turns, and I made a replacement for one end bracket that was missing. I fitted the brackets and roller on top of the shelf. The operating cords were totally absent by Tony F put me straight there. Thanks again Tony.
However, you mention a slot, presumably in the rear window shelf, meaning the roller was underneath the shelf.
As my rear window shelf was only a collection of rot, woodworm and splinters, I wonder if I have actually got mine wrong?
Any advice from owners of other 1930's out there?

The remains of the roller was fitted to the wooden frame under the rear shelf ,the metal brackets are just about salvageable but the roller is rotted out and the spring is just dust .when the car was reupholstered about 20 years ago a new solid shelf was fitted .plenty to think about and I have taken some photos of a Morris 8 with a blind for ideas as well
