Javelin front wing threads

Post by conrod »

Could anyone please let me know the thread size for the front and rear wing bolts of a Javelin ?

It would also be very helpful if someone could produce a list for all threads on the Jowetts - I know myself I would always be referring to it

Hi Graham,
Looks like you might have found yourself a job. Take the bolt out, use a set of thread gauges or count the threads per inch. Try to match first against BSF, then Whit, then BA, then UNF then BSP. If it is none of them then you have found one of the more unusual threads that may have found their way onto the Jowett.
I have a board with all the different nuts on nails and bolts stuck on so that I can test most of them.
Note there is a pretty good list in the technical notes.
