This is a 1951 Deluxe model with a lovely beige leather interior. Great original wooden dash with all instruments in working order. It has a nice headlining and well finished interior.
The maroon bodywork is in very good order and all the chrome is shiny. As would be expected with a car 66 years old, there are some minor paint blemishes which have been there for the last 12 years and have not altered. The underside is solid with no visible signs of rusty problems. It has 65,000 miles showing on the clock, which given the condition could well be genuine.
The mechanical side is well sorted, with a good strong running engine, smooth well set up gearbox and excellent brakes, steering and good tyres. It needs nothing but loving and regular running.
The car has always been been well maintained and is a very good example of a Deluxe Javelin. It has been known in the JCC for many years and has been in the present owners care for 12 years. Although for the last 10 years it has been run and lived happily in the sunny South West of France, where it currently resides.
It has a long French 'CT' - the equivalent of an English MOT and it is ready to run. The car currently has French registration. It's UK plates are with the car, but reregistering with the DVLA would be needed if it were returned to the UK.
Obviously personal viewing can only be done where the car is located. The location is a great place to spend a long weekend and enjoy the many delights this area has to offer!
The car is located only 30 mins drive from Bergerac airport, with regular cheap flights from Stanstead daily. Or flights from Liverpool, East Midlands, Southampton and Edinburgh. A pick up from Bergerac airport to view the car can be arranged.
