Period dress
Also there is a Period Dress competition on Sunday which I have not seen advertised since the Feb Jowetteer, so let us make us look as beautiful as the cars.
It also looks like it may be hot so take that sun cream and large hat.

Are there any midges or gnats up there?

Not when I was there last week. So you can wear your shorts!

Route sorted. Staying at Staunton in the Vale near Nottingham tonight after picking Amy up from the train station. Then via Stanhope Ford for a scenic drive in the blazing sun.

Stanhope Ford closed to vehicle traffic, still a nice run using the road route. Have a good Rally.

Amy and I took Napoleon the quicker way back down the western route. Rain most of the way , except Lancashire. Heavier after Birmingham with torrents of water and large puddles of water on the A5. Napoleon was rinsed and chamoised before being garaged.

The best?
Thanks rally committee and helpers for putting on an impressive rally. Fantastic hotel, well thought out field day and we were lucky with the weather.

Just got home after an uneventful run in even more sunshine.
Thanks to the Scottish team for a wonderful Rally. It was good to meet up with many of my Jowett friends.
Loved Jeremy Strang's fancy dress, even though his tail fell off! Haven't done the 'Gay Gordons', or even 'Stripped the Willow' for more years than I can remember.
Ruby has kindly let me have a dozen spare programmes which I'll send to Nezley in New South Wales soon, along with a few place-mats for the Aussies to use at their Christmas bash.
Can't wait for Harrogate.

I emailed Nezley Dawson in New South wales yesterday.
She replied and said that she had seen numerous photos of the Peebles Rally on Facebook.
I don't use this social media site, but if you do and haven't yet accessed it, it might be worthwhile doing so.

Facebook and Twitter links are on the Jowett.net home page. I would be interested in views on the use of such social networking tools for Jowett related communication.
