Our local car upholsterer has a great reputation, but also a 6 months waiting list. This week, we finally made it to the front of the queue and she came home this morning transformed. The side screen frames had to be remade as when we put the frame on you couldn't open the doors past the hinges as the pins seemed in the wrong place. Fortunately, the chap noticed before starting to recover them.

Re: We have a roof!
What remained of the old hood wasn't the original and had a very small rear window. I guessing the original had a small window as that seemed to be the style, but as this is supposed to be a "working car", I took a bit of artistic license and went with something bigger. I was worried it would be a bit claustrophobic with the hood up, but it's actually quite good, probably helped by the bigger window letting in plenty of light.
