Re: fuel pump
not too sure i.m getting into the gallery properly, it keeps saying i must be logged in to see page. do i need another password or is it the .org site?
mind you the point is moot now, went out to drive it down to croyden as mentioned, wiggled the wires on the back of the dynamo to make sure nothing was loose and not bridging to earth. closed bonnet and got on with clearing up my tools and fitting new wing mirror. during this i notices steam/smoke coming from under the bonnet, opened bonnet and saw smoke coming from the dynamo with a few wifts of smoke from the control box. panniced a bit and disconnected battery ASAP. guessing that dyno and box are not servisable now, and wondering if the box ain't been the problem all along. not sure what the next move is at the mo. feeling very hard done by ;-(

Re: fuel pump
The cause of the smoke is most likely a stuck regulator relay. Unless your wiggling shorted the wire.
