Well the latest edition provides several publicity opportunities for the club and its members - Firstly the Clements Javelin features on page 6 with a group picture of the UK's top 100 classics - in the distance about halfway down the line up at Millbrook proving ground. A mention for both Keith Clements & Scott Renner on page 42 for their help with vehicle logistics has serial classic collector, Javelin owner & Practical Classics Technical Editor Sam Glover adds yet another unusual vehicle to his collection. The distinctive rear of the Clements Javelin is seen yet again in the distance in a reverse image seen on page 57, and on page 60 is a clearer image of the same Javelin in it's ranked position. Finally the smiling face of a certain Mr Clements can be seen in the group photo on page 52 (behind the E type)
The Javelin was ranked at number 56 in the top 100 classics - much higher than I had expected and in front of some far more prolific favourites such as the frogeyed Sprite, MG Magnette, Triumph TR2/3, Triumph Herald, Lotus Elan, VW Camper & Jaguar XK 120/140/150 - just goes to show how well thought of the Javelin really is
