A Very Happy New Year. Here’s to a safe and enjoyable time with the cars and friends in 2016. Our Christmas Lunch on 6 December was a great success, thanks to good company and Barbara Atack’s excellent organisation. It was nice to welcome our club Chairman and his lady – David and Sue Mason – and to see so many other friends. There were a few absences due to health issues, and we wish those members well. The Christmas Lunch is when we present the two main section awards – the Palmer Trophy and the President’s Plate. This year’s deserving winner of the Palmer Award was Douglas Rawson and the President’s Plate was presented to yours truly! Thank you to everyone who made a nomination, and congratulations, Douglas! As promised last month, and following a recent committee meeting, above are the dates for the various section events in 2016 for entering into your nice new diaries /calendars: At the time of penning this report, we have had no contact from anyone for the Valentine Lunch at Steeton Hall. Where are all you romantic Jowett owners? Now that Christmas is out of the way you can concentrate on Section events so pick up the telephone, i-pad, laptop, or whatever, and make your booking. We are anxiously waiting to hear from you, and your lady will be delighted.
