Grade of Oil in Diff

As our differentials are now getting on, what are the thoughts on using 140 oil rather than 90 as recommended in the Manual?

What about additives?

Early responses appreciated as planning to change the diff oil in the next few days before departing on 1000 mile trip to and back from the National Rally
