Javelin front suspension
Anyone know what is meant by the 'rubber boots' for the early Javelin front suspension (PD model)?
Is this the Upper Link Seal (part number 50290- shown as item 760 in my PC Parts List)? There are two per side.
I am hoping that these are available from the JCC Spares people.
PS I have only got a PC Parts List Book but I asume this is the same as the PD model. Am I correct?
Thanks
Paul

metal suspension has boots, rubber suspension does not. I will get around to putting the old parts book in the gallery sometime!
I have added some new documents to JowettGallery showing the boots on the early suspension.
I have tried the png format as it is good for B/w; but not so easy to view as pdf. Also Tiff for text as it allows Optical Character Recognition. Enjoy.

Javelin front suspension
I have received my stub axle and swivel pin back from Bill Lock with all parts- bushes etc renewed and have obtained new 'rubber boots' (Upper Link Seals (part number 50290- indicated as item 760 in my Parts Book for a PC model).
Does anyone know how these should be attached to the top of the front suspension ie the 'Y' shaped yoke? My offside seems to have wire wrapped round. That doesn't seem right somehow!
Any ideas please?
Thanks

Javelin front suspension (Early type)
Now here's another problem and I hope someone can help me out! Having received my stub axle/swivel pin assembly and having inspected it I see that the 'L' shaped grease nipple which greases the bottom bushes at the lowest point is missing! The thread is a larger diameter than the other grease nipples and I have spares for those but not a spare for that lowest greasing point!
Can anyone help please?
Thanks
